Yes to Olympics

Everyone say, “Go Chicago!” If Chicago can land the 2016 Olympic Games then this will help this great city turn the corner and be the best city in the world! This is the kind of opportunity that only comes once every century and Chicago has to capitalize on it.

2016 in Chicago

As Chicago moves closer securing the 2016 Olympics, I’d like to offer reasons to reconsider. First, selling off portions of Lakeshore Park.  Development along the lake will forever alter this essential and understated landmark.  Public land will be siphoned off and sold to the highest contractor.

Only thirty cities have had the chance to unite people from all corners of the world, to be a cradle of peace among nations and glorify the art of athleticism. In 2016 Chicago may be the host of the 31st Olympic Games and we, as Chicagoans, should support it.
