I live about two miles from my job, which could be a pleasant walking or biking distance in some climates. But considering Chicago’s particularly broad weather spectrum, on most days I’d probably freeze or evaporate-depending on the seasonal extreme-before arriving at my destination. Additionally, there’s no convenient bus route for my particular path, so I drive to work-an easy commute, wouldn’t you think?…Not hardly.
